You Can Know ("the App") is a free, Scripture-centered Bible study application developed by Still Standing Studios ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle information.
Account Information. If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address and display name. Account creation is optional; you can explore the App's lessons without signing up.
Church Linking. If you connect to a local church through a QR code or church code, we store the association between your account and that church so you can be paired with a Study Companion from their congregation.
Chat Messages. Messages you exchange with your Study Companion are stored securely in our database so they can be delivered and displayed in the conversation. Only you, your Study Companion, and authorized church administrators can view these messages.
Lesson Progress. We store your reading progress so you can pick up where you left off across devices.
The App requests access to your device's camera solely to scan church QR codes when you choose to connect with a local church. Camera data is processed on your device in real time and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted to our servers. You can use the App without granting camera access by entering a church code manually instead.

We use industry-standard security measures provided by Google Firebase, including encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL) and secure authentication. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. When you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our active systems. Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy within the App or on this page with a revised effective date.
